Hi, I'm Grace, welcome to my portfolio.
I would say nice to meet you but this is a pretty one sided conversation, so let me start by telling you about myself. I'm currently enrolled at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, studying Marketing with a Sustainabilities minor. I am a content creator, designer, and model.
I have what many describe as an entrepreneurial spirit; fircley brave, always looking for ways to innovate, constantly learning and growing. My Clifton Strengths exam categorized me with the following characteristics: strategic, futuristic, and driven.
I believe these descriptors have manifested in my life time and time again, which you will see through my work. Before we get into that though, let me tell you a little bit about me, my journey, and my current projects.
Thank you for being here.
Experience
One of my most rewarding and insightful previous business related experiences is my two year internship with Carlson Capital Management as a Marketing and Public Relations Assistant.
Through my time at the firm I received a wide breadth of exposure from communication with both leadership and clients to design work. I had a hand in campaign projects for upcoming events, curating client Excel spreadsheets for sales teams, client outreach, and assisting in developing competitive marketing strategies for future growth using assessments of our competitors.
My time at Carlson set me up with a wealth of industry knowledge of CRM, SEO, ROI, and Office platforms. It gave me the insight into the industry I needed to center my professional desires.
Education
My primary occupation at the moment is being a student. I am someone who loves to learn. Taking this massive opportunity of being in school, surrounded by talented professionals, has allowed me to take my work to new levels. Through University I have been able to utilize my creative spirit through numerous projects working either on my own proposals or fulfilling needs for outside firms. Some of my most recent work has included research decks for Xcel Energy and Best Buy.
Current Projects
This is Dillon and I. Dillon began the 16ozDays platform in 2019 and brought me on as a freelance marketing and social media strategist in 2020. I then began ghost writing for the platform in 2021, producing weekly educational blog posts for readers.
Working for Dillon has been huge for my future development. The 16ozDays program has allowed me to expand my knowledge of SMO exponentially. We have created long term goals of follower counts and interaction percentages, with a current average impression rate of 28,000 monthly.
I work in depth with Wordpress and have experience with SMO platforms such as Sprinklr and Hootsuite. With my blog posts I have gained future knowledge on SEO and optimization.
At the moment I am developing a research deck for our upcoming marketing venture in launching our Coffee Club membership program, allowing us to monetize our platform.
